Abuja - UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-
moon has condemned recent attacks
on civilians by militant groups in
Nigeria, Yemen and Pakistan.
Ban, in a statement issued by Oluseyi
Soremekun, National Information
Officer, the UN Information Centre in
Nigeria, described the attacks as
“appalling.”
The UN scribe challenged the
governments of the affected
countries to bring the perpetrators
of the despicable acts to justice.
“The Secretary-General is dismayed
by and strongly condemns the
pattern of attacks against innocent
civilians, including women and
children, by militant groups and
terrorists.
