Abuja - Barley a week after the Independent
National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the
presidential candidate of the All Progressives
Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari as the winner
of the March 28 presidential election, serious
lobbying has begun for key positions in his cabinet,
reports The Guardian.
APC leaders and other top shots, state governors,
as well as influential lawmakers and traditional
rulers are already mounting pressure on Buhari
and influential leaders of the party to get either
themselves or their nominees to be appointed into
the new cabinet due to be inaugurated when
Buhari is sworn in on May 29.
Scores of interested parties and individuals are
pushing for the slots allegedly allotted to their
states or zones.
