Man United in for Benzema
According to the Independent, Karim Benzema will be a priority target for new Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho this summer.
The 28-year-old French striker joined Real Madrid in 2009 and will certainly be difficult to prize away from Spain.
Jose Mourinho worked with Karim Benzema for three years in Madrid and wants to bring him to the Premier League along with PSG star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is reportedly very close to completing his move to Manchester.
The Independent claim Manchester United will be in for two strikers this summer following Wayne Rooney’s move to a deeper role at Old Trafford.
Karim Benzema has no intention of leaving
Despite reports that he is a Manchester United fan, Karim Benzema this week made it very clear on Instagram that he has no intention of leaving the Santiago Bernabeu.
The highly rated French striker this weekend will play in his second Champions League final in the last three seasons, when Real Madrid face Atletico in a repeat of the 2014 final.
In the massively unlikely scenario that he chooses to join Manchester United this summer, Karim Benzema will have to give up on the elite European competition as the Red Devils failed to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
