Everton have placed a £50 million asking price on Ross Barkley, after begrudgingly accepting that they will not be able to keep the England international, according to the
Daily Mirror .
The club have repeatedly attempted to extend Barkley's contract but an impasse has been reached, and the Toffees have subsequently placed a valuation on the player.
Both Tottenham and Manchester United are interested in signing the 23-year-old, but the fee may prove a stumbling block, with Barkley considering seeing out the final year of his deal before moving on a Bosman next summer.
