PostSubject: MVI to ProRES Codec: Converting MVI to FCP ProRes MOV   MVI to ProRES Codec: Converting MVI to FCP ProRes MOV Empty2013-11-17, 14:02

MVI stands for Musical Video Interactive, a DVD-based means of packing audio, video and interactive visual content (for example lyrics) onto one disk. The first commercial disc released with this technology was Snakes & Arrows by Rush on May 15, 2007.The audio content is provided in multiple formats, including a high-definition version (a minimum of 24-bit at 48kHz sampling) and an MP3 version for copying to portable audio players. The video content is compatible with DVD video, and can also optionally include high-definition video. Maybe you have got some MVI videos and wanted to import MVI to FCP X/7/6 for editing on Mac, since the MVI video codec is not well supported by FCP X/7/6, the best way to edit MVI in FCP X/7/6 on Mac is to convert MVI to Apple ProRes 422 codec.

Apple ProRes 422 is a standard-definition and high-definition lossy video compression format developed by Apple Inc. for use in post production. It was introduced in 2007 with Final Cut Studio 2 and is comparable to Avid’s DNxHD codec which has the same purpose and uses similar bit rates. Both are DCT basedintra-frame-only codecs, and are therefore simpler to decode than distribution oriented formats like H.264. FCP 6/7, FCP X is Mac based editing software which supports transcoding MVI videos to Apple ProRes for further editing.

So the program you need is a great aPubsoft Video to Apple ProRes 422 Converter, which will convert MVI to Apple ProRes 422/4444 for editing with Final Cut Pro 6/7, Final Cut Pro X on Mac with best video and audio quality, perfect video and audio synchronization, and nearly all the video formats are supported, including MKV, MVI, VOB, F4V, SWF, AVI, WMV, MOV, M4V, FLV, AVCHD, MTS, M2TS, MXF, Canon camcorder recordings, Sony/Panasonic recordings, etc.
