Steps to import Canon 5D Mark III footage to DNxHD format for Avid

Step 1. Import MOV to the converter
Download and install Canon 5D Mark III video Converter on your computer. Run it and click the Add Files button to import the MOV videos to be converted. The converter support load video from a card reader or from an achieved folder that contains your source media.

Step 2. Choose DNxHD MOV format for Avid MC
From “Format” bar, select “Avid Media Composer” > “Avid DNxHD 1080p (*.mov)” as output format. If you want to keep the high-definition quality, just choose the output format from HD video format category.

Step 3. Setting video and audio profile
If you like, you can click “Settings” button and go to “Profile Settings” window to custom video and audio settings like video codec, bit rate, frame rate, audio codec, bit rate, sample rate and audio channel.

Step 4. Start Conversion
When you finish all settings, click the big Convert button on bottom of the main windows and the Conversion from 5D Mark III footage to Avid Media Composer will begin immediately. After the conversion is complete, you can import DNxHD .mov video to Avid Media Composer for further editing without any hassle.
