The chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Ahmadu Adamu Mu’azu has spoken on the Ekiti
state saga that has led to the closure of courts in the state.
Mu’azu accused a particular party of murdering a chieftain of the PDP based on false allegation that he
slapped a judge. He added that the judge has denied ever been slapped. The former governor of Bauchi
state said nobody, not even President Jonathan can slap a judge, querying when death became a penalty
for slapping someone (judge inclusive).
It will be recalled that a chieftain of PDP and former NURTW boss in the state, Chief Omolafe Aderiye, was
murdered on Thursday, 25th September, few hours after a judge was reportedly slapped at the state
capital, Ado-Ekiti.

In few days, Ekiti State will have a new Governor. Some desperate people have done all that is humanly
possible to prevent this.
They even murdered one of our chieftain saying he slapped a Judge when the Judge in question has
denied ever been slapped.
When did death become the penalty for slapping someone (judge inclusive)? Even Satan in all his
wickedness will never justify this.
God forbid that a Judge will be slapped in our country right inside a Court. We eagerly await the report of
the Court incidence.
These evil people that call themselves a political party went after our party chieftain and killed him & no
one is talking about that.
All their media is talking about is the slap that never took place. A man has been killed and they are not
even talking about it.
If the man killed by these evil people who call themselves a political party was your father or brother will
you be talking like this?
They cannot just kill a human being and act as if nothing happened talking about a slap many said didn’t
take place. This is unacceptable.
Let’s assume the slap did take place, what does the Law say? No one is above the law. You don’t go at
night to kill the man.
No Nigerian in this country can slap a Judge and get away with it under Nigeria law not even Mr.
President can attempt such.
A party of killers can’t call us a party of thugs. We await evidence to prove that any of our members was
involved in thuggery in Ekiti.
