Job Title
Graduate Trainee (Contract and Procurement)

Duties and Responsibilities
Support project teams in the overall drafting of bid documents, pre-qualification documents, bid requests, bid evaluations, contract negotiations and contractor selection;
•Provide administrative support for the post-award contract administration, including change management, lien waivers, insurance issues, claims mitigation and contract close-out;
•Maintain relevant contract related contractor correspondence;
•Maintain contract file system in a logical and functional state;
•Ensure that all legal requirements and potential risks related to Contracts are managed in line with Company's risk management policies;
•Assist as a key contact point for audits;
•Ensure the company conforms to its statutory and legal obligations under relevant legislation for corporate activities, including those of Joint Ventures for all activities related to Contracts and Procurement Management (Commercial, Contracts & Procurement);
•Draft Invitation to tender documents for oil and gas projects;
•Review of scope of work and knowledge of drafting suitable pricing structure;
•Ensure that executed project contract agreements are entered and maintained in the appropriate Database System for Contractor invoice payment and accounting purposes;
•By providing sound, consistent advice on regulatory/statutory requirements affecting or impinging on project controls and reporting;
•Ensure contracts team is managed observing all Human Resource policies;
•Provide supportive leadership to direct reports personnel, if any;
•By effectively communicating current activities and policies to all team members;
•By actively participating in regular staff performance review, performance development and performance appraisal processes;
•Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with Company's strategic HSEQ objectives;
•Through actively participating in activities that support the achievement of specific HSEQ key performance indicators;
•By identifying improvement opportunities and making recommendations to management for improvement that are accepted and in line with best industry practice;
•Adhere to Company's Ways of Working and Corporate Culture;
•By demonstrating an understanding of and commitment to Company's Ways of Working and Corporate Culture in the approach to work and relationships.

Qualification, Skills and Competency Requirements
Must Possess a minimum of HND/BSC in Discipines related to: Management Science, Economics, Mathematics/Statistics, Accountancy;
•Resident in/willing to reside in Lagos;
•Ability to effectively interact with all levels of Management;
•Demonstrated ability to take initiative to work to a clear mandate and work-plan and to maintain a highly organized work environment;
•Demonstrated ability to respond to unexpected and challenging circumstances;
•Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships;
•A forward-thinking attitude - get excited by trying new things;
•Excellent communication skills (written and verbal);
•Strong negotiation skills, target oriented, excellent interpersonal skills, planning and analysis capabilities.

Remuneration:
118,750 Naira Monthly
