SOLAR ECLIPSE UPDATE; as Nigerians prepare to experience Solar Eclipse today, it is important we take note of the following; Eclipse of the Sun is when the moon moves between the earth and sun, partially or completely blocking the rays of sun to hit the earth. Some of the States in Nigeria that will experience Solar Eclipse today are; Lagos, Ebonyi, Enugu, Abuja, Akwa Ibom, Kano, Oyo and Rivers State. The time the eclipse will occur is from 12.00pm to 4.00pm. People are adviced not to look directly at the sun at this time as it could cause permanent blindness to the eyes. Alternative, a person can pour water on a wide plastic bowl and look at the water surface to observe the eclipse as it occurs.....

The National Space Research and Development Agency(NASRDA) has predicted that Nigeria will witness a partial solar eclipse on November 3, 2013. We urge Nigerians to remain calm as there is no need to panic. Giving prediction of the time the eclipse will hit some of the states in Nigeria,the eclipse will begin in:
Abakiliki by 1.06pm and end by 4.09pm;
Ibadan starts 12.52pm and ends 4.01pm;
Port Harcourt starts 1.03pm to 4.09pm;
Lagos starts 12.50pm to 4.01pm;
Abuja begins 1.03pm to 4.03pm.
