How to bypass UK Broadband Dongle Filters. [Part One]

Hello 9jatc and welcome to my tutorial Smile
Today I'll be teaching how to bypass ISP broadband 'dongle' filters.
T-Mobile seems to be a serious case and I own one of the HUAWEI devices which I use.

So I'll be pointing this tutorial towards owners of T-Mobile broadband devices.

Let's start with some terminology:
As far as I'm aware there are two major types of restrictions:

1. Age cesoring - Any website which appears to be adult oriented is blacklisted, this also goes for Hacking communities and other content which may be harmful to children.

2. FUP. [Fair Use Policy] - How does this work?
Let's take an example, you have internet which is unlimited for however months you paid for in advance, let's say 3 months.
As always there IS a catch.
You'll be given unlimited access to the internet to download what you want as long as you abide to their policy, I believe you get around approx ~1GB.

Once this one gigabyte is over, restrictions take place, downloading will be ceased, so you'll be pulling your hair out, when your internet connection disconnects or gives you a warning about FUP and your download fails.|

You also cannot stream videos.

The conclusion is though, you still have access to a plethora of the internet aside from streaming or any other method which involves transferring large amounts of data to your HDD.

So with that over with, I'm going to be talking in this tutorial, methods of how to bypass their age censor filter.
The FUP will be for another tutorial.

All these methods are based around anonymity.
After all, how on earth would you bypass a school filter without letting the IP address appear as if it's somewhere in the world?

I'll now explain some common methods:
VPNs.
Proxies.
SSH Tunneling.
Tor project.
Socks 4/5.
i2p.
Freenet.

I won't cover them all, only two for this tutorial, a VPN and proxies.

[Note] Major broadband device ISPs block Tor.
This can be bypassed by adding bridges inside the config.

The best method which many people are aware of, are VPNs.
If you can find a free one - great!
but it will immensly slow down the network.
If you're serious about bypassing the filters, a VPN is worth every penny.

Now you might ask yourself, sure a VPN is great but I barely access blocked websites.
Would it seems strange if I said that if you exceed your FUP, then Skype is blocked?

It's true, if you are surfing on a VPN and you're restricted, Voip connections are bypassed.

I personally use "TorrentPrivacy" VPN.
They don't keep logs and they have ~98% uptime.

Next is proxies.
Now I know what you'll say "Proxies are SLOW"
Incorrect.

All it takes is a simple filter of High anonymity and fast connection speed.

Proxies are not slow.
I'm currently browsing google and making this tutorial on my T-mobile broadband dongle, on a proxy as fast as my original connection.

Some good proxy sites are:
HidemyAss.
ProxyNova.

Obviously public proxies keep logs but I doubt you'd be doing anything illegal, connection to MSN, Skype and browsing the web can easily be set up in the browser and in the configs.

You torrent?
Torrenting can also be bypassed from the FUP on a VPN but it's not very reliable!

Proxies linked with a VPN or seperate each can unblock anything.
