Mytv over the air upgrade

First topic message reminder :

Notice: mytv is currently carrying out over the air upgrade of all 4669 models whereby the new sw does not have option in the menu. the new sw is version 3.00p. To avoid dis do not go to any prepaid mytv channel cos d moment u switch off n on d upgrade starts. But U can go to the fta channels. If ur 4669 goes into upgrade mode allow it to finish den ugrade to an older version and stay off d mytv package. Dis exercise will run till end of the year

How can we stop this upgrade? I mean prevent our decoder from upgrading automatically.

the simplest is to avoid their package or delete tp

avoid any mytv station, delete their T.P or get a firmware upgrade on your flash & restore everytime it upgrades itself.

goto menu >>installation (0000)>>ota menu>>scan mode (change to user)>>satellite (change to any other sat like thaicom 78.5E)>>exit>save (yes). Njoy

I have also observed that if ur rx is fake it will always upgrade itself thru OTA even after applying d above settings.

no settings aply on fake dat willn stop ota better advice is to stop buying it period

Kudos to Odunmanuel.You can now stop OTA of multi tv BY FOLLOWING DIS SIMPLE STEPS(STRICTLY 4 4669X11 STRONG DECODERS) - Extract d file .stb, put it in a flash, insert d flash into ur decoder, press menu, scrol down to usb, select data transfer, locate dat file in ur flash, when u are at dat file, press OK on ur strong decoder. Once done, u will see successfully complete. (NOTE: DO THIS WITH UR GEN. Not NEPA COS IF NEPA TAKES LIGHT IN D PROCESS, UR DECODER WILL GET DAMAGED. & dis works very well for original 4669x11) THIS IS D LINK [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

all fta channels got scramble on my fake srt 4669XII decoder after waking it up i have rescan time without number to no avail please what can i do to get all the fta back even emmanuel tv is scramble now please i beg oo

check ur diseqc switch settings ....
